It works on my old computer. I download a .ica, launch it, and a remote desktop opens where I can work. The old computer had windows 7. On the new computer, I installed the last version of citrix and tried, but it doesnt work. Published Applications or Desktops don’t launch, or disappear during launch.

When tried internally, the desktop was launching automatically. It will also show Citrix Desktop Service detected that a user session has ended. Solution If you see that the session was created successfully in the event viewer and then ended immediately and also see a blank session in the event viewer, then it is possible that the issue can be due to network and the best way to isolate is to collect WireShark or Netmon on client machine where session is being launched. Solution. -Corrected the typo in both of the STAs in StoreFront, and propagated the changes, so that the StoreFront servers are now able to properly resolve the STA server hostnames. -This resolved the issue. We can now launch the desktops without error.

Seemed like the launch.ica file just wasn’t calling Citrix Receiver properly to start the connecting process. IE wasn’t asking me to save or open launch.ica, this was differrent. After a Citrix Receiver cleanup and reinstall the same problem remained.
